Deo has been working in the field through various project life cycles for over seven years. The last four years have focused on Involuntary Land Acquisition (RAPs – OP 4.2 & IFC PS5). He has also been training and leading teams to carry out a range of socio-economic baseline studies and impact assessments to international best practice. Using participatory approaches he has developed a range of management plans to mitigate negative issues and optimize the positive impacts for sustainable and equitable development. Prior to joining IDC he worked on different development programs with civil societies both at macro (National level) and Micro (Community) level. He pays special attention to gender issues on all his work. Deo is fluent in both English and Swahili
